What a full last few weeks it's been for us; Mike has been given more and more responsibility at work, and Katie is busy planning for a summer full of wilderness trips at Timber-lee. We've also been getting ready for life after summer: marriage, where to live, a job in the area for Katie.

For some of you who've asked, here's a little history of Mike and Katie. Mike grew up in Libertyville, Illinios; a northern suburb of Chicago. He graduated in 2006 from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Bible and Youth Ministry. He is now a counselor at an organization for at-risk youth. Katie grew up at camp Timber-lee in Wisconsin, then attended Taylor university where she studied Philosophy and Art. We met at Timber-lee during our college years as we both counseled or worked on wilderness staff during the summer. We became good friends the summer of 2004 and started dating later that year. We guided trips together for Timber-lee the summer of 2005, then seperately in 2006. Katie finished school in December of 2006 and on Valentines Day we got engaged. We'll both be back at Timber-lee this summer, and after the wedding we'll be moving to the Chicago area.
